Working with an extensive network of quarries spanning the UK and Europe, we specialise in the supply of Rock Armour for flood defence schemes, offering a reliable solution to protecting rivers, coasts, roads, and rail networks. Also known as 'Riprap', rock armour provides an effective solution against erosion caused by the sea by interlocking large rocks together to form rock revetments, which act as a barrier to protect the foot of a cliff or an existing seawall.

The scour protection measures help to stabilise structures, ensuring their longevity and reducing the risk of collapse or damage.

We recognise the importance of supplying materials quickly, especially during an emergency when named storms cause large parts of the country to come to a standstill due to the havoc they wreak on our shores. We also hear a lot in the media about global warming and the future impact this may have on future generations, which is why we have chosen to confront these challenges proactively.

At MD Aggregates, not only do we offer large quantities of the standard 1-3 tonne rocks and gabion stone, we also have the capability to source and supply larger rocks ranging from 3-5 tonnes, 5-8tonnes, to 9 tonnes and beyond depending on your project requirements.

To ensure rapid and efficient delivery, our rock armour can be transported directly to your site by truck, or they can be dropped off on a nearby beach if being delivered by ship. This flexibility in delivery options ensures that we can meet the urgent demands of both planned and emergency projects.
